about the family empowerment team

The Family Empowerment Team, or FET, is the collaborative effort of ten agencies in the Pikes Peak region.  These agencies teamed up to provide the Pikes Peak community with a range of affordable services, all through a point of contact at one member agency.

Services are either offered on an affordable sliding scale fee schedule or are free.  Some of the many services offered by member agencies include:

• parenting classes in English and Spanish
• in-home visits to parents of newborns
• advocacy in the court system
• job training
• counseling in English and Spanish
• respite nursery
• access to other resources in the community
• basic necessities

This collaborative effort is in place so that the varied needs of families and individuals in El Paso County can be seamlessly and effectively served.
