agency reception - 09/25/07

PPFC proudly hosted an Agency Reception this fall at KPC Kids' Place.  Our Board of Directors planned an exciting and informative event.  Community partners, volunteers, donors, and interested Pikes Peak area residents who attended had the opportunity to meet our staff and board members, learn about our programs and how we're growing, read testimonials from our clients, and see KPC Kids' Place.  Several community agencies and groups were represented, including the Junior League of Colorado Springs, Ascension Lutheran Church, the 4th Judicial District, El Paso County Department of Human Services, and more.  In addition, many of our wonderful volunteers and benefactors joined the fun.  We'd like to thank everyone who attended for supporting PPFC!

5th Annual carl cousins memorial golf Tournament - 06/08/07

Once again, the International Order of Foresters generously teamed with PPFC to host the Carl Cousins Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit KPC Kids' Place.  Golfers enjoyed a gorgeous day at the Cheyenne Shadows Golf Course on Ft. Carson, "special" golf holes full of surprises, a buffet dinner, an exciting silent auction, and prizes!  We appreciate all of our golfers, hole sponsors, silent auction item donors, and especially the Foresters International for making this year's tournament a success!

11th annual child abuse prevention rally - 04/20/07

PPFC's 11th Annual Child Abuse Prevention Rally was held on April 20 at the Olympic Training Center.  Over 400 community members enjoyed food, family-focused games and activities, entertainment by local children's performance groups, and more.  Mayor Lionel Rivera read the Proclamation of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Chief of Police Robert Myers was the keynote speaker.  Thirty-five of our community partners shared their programs with interested families.  In a moving tribute, the children who lost their lives in 2006 due to abuse or neglect were remembered.  PPFC would like to thank everyone who helped to make this year's rally a success.
